First Use of PolypAID™ in Germany

On April 8, 2025, Klinikum Würzburg Mitte, Stiftung Juliusspital, became the first hospital in Germany to use PolypAID™ during colonoscopy procedures.

The hospital has previous experience with the Olympus AI system. After the procedure, Prof. André Ignee, leading gastroenterologist at the clinic, commented.

“PolypAID™ is now at least equivalent and could be superior to the Olympus system with the coming updates.” — Prof. André Ignee, Klinikum Würzburg Mitte.

We thank Ignee and his team for the warm welcome in the department and the support we received.

PolypAID™ functions as a second pair of eyes during colonoscopy, assisting the operator during the procedure. It detects polyps and adenomas within 0.1 seconds providing visual quadrant indicators and placing an open marker on the relevant area in the image, helping endoscopists detect potential abnormalities more efficiently.
